WE PURCHASE

WE PURCHASE OR TOLL-MELT ON A REGULAR BASIS THE WASTE AND SCRAP OF TITANIUM AND ALUMINIUM

Our Company purchases all known kinds of titanium waste due to the positive experience of dealing with them.
Actually, we haven’t met any kind of titanium scrap or alloy which we don’t know how to recycle.
All known EU/UK/US/Soviet grades of Titanium we are ready to purchase on a regular basis for the very reasonable prices close to Metalbulletin or Metal-pages quotes.
When the market goes up we offer very competitive price to the quotes stipulated in respected bulletins.
Russian/Soviet grades of titanium are very much welcome at our warehouses!

OUR PURCHASE DEMANDS TO TITANIUM TURNINGS/CHIPS/PARTICLES

Titanium content: any content that can be objectively defined by representative sampling and lab check. We don’t buy titanium waste if titanium is in oxide phase or any other non-metallic phase.
Titanium in non-metallic phase can also be recycled by recovery method or other then induction melting method but we can’t consider that kind of waste as scrap and different evaluation approach must be applied.

Impurities content: less impurities - more value.

Moisture and oil: preferred maximum 3%. If it exceeds then the qualified surveyor will define the objective content of moisture and oil and deduct it from the whole weight of the supplied lot.
We pay for Titanium – not for oil or lubricant.

Non-metallic inclusions: they make recycling difficult due to obligatory additional pre-processing stage of the material before the recycling itself. It adds the difficulty and though decreases the value of the material.

Magnetics. Titanium is non-magnetic kind of metal. All magnetic particles will be defined objectively by qualified surveyor and will be deducted from the weight of the supplied lot.

The size of particles/chips/shavings/turnings. We deal with any size and shape of turnings. However, the yield from the recycling of thin and fine particles is so low that it makes the recycling of such particles not reasonable. The price for heavy cut chips is higher then for medium cut chips.
However, we pay premium for the chips/turnings if they were chipped already. If the transportation prices of titanium waste is extremely expensive – we buy chips/turnings in crushed condition only. That is to fit at least 18Mt in big bags into one truck.

Package. Big bags or steel drums are the usual practice.

OUR PURCHASING DEMANDS TO THE TITANIUM SOLID SCRAP

We buy any size/weight of Titanium solids. However, we have to cut them before feeding the furnace that generates the costs for cutting and burning lossess. We will estimate those costs during the scrap load evaluation and will discuss that before the purchase.

Our Purchase evaluation practice is the following
The material is not discounted if it has normal melting size. The normal size for metallurgical usage (feeding the furnace) is 1200mm x 400mm x 400 mm, the weight of one piece is max.200kgs. That is our Standard that we pay for straight away.
If the solids size is different to our Standard then we will have to process it to make it Standard.
The processing costs consist of costs for cutting and costs for titanium losses connected to its direct burning during cutting.

The cutting costs are EUR50/Mt.

The burning losses of titanium are the following:
     - If the weight of solid is 200kgs but it is out of dimensions then - the losses of material (burning while cutting) while preparation are 1.5% from the total volume;
     - Weight 200-700 kgs - losses 5%;
     - Weight 700-1500 kgs - losses 10-12%;
     - Weight more then 1500 kgs - losses 15-18%.

We arrange the toll-melting of any kind of titanium turnings and scrap. We can pay for your titanium in titanium waste not by money but by titanium in ferrotitanium.
The mentioned evaluation practice is common to us but every single lot of titanium waste must be individually considered. It rarely happens that we refuse to buy the titanium waste if it looks suspicious due to obvious strange impurities on it or the undefined origin of the material.

WE ALSO BUY ALUMINIUM SCRAP OF ANY GRADE AND IMPURITY

Aluminium scrap must be baled or compressed any other way to fit as much weight as possible into one 20Mt truck. Due to its light weight and long distance to our scrap processing partner’s facilities we need the material to be properly compressed/baled and packed to void «air transportation».

We mainly buy difficult aluminium scrap with a discount.
     - Aluminum shavings;
     - Aluminum cans (Used Beverage Cans);
     - Aluminum foil;
     - Old rolled baled Aluminium;
     - Contaminated Aluminium.

We can exchange your Aluminium in scrap onto Aluminium in ingots/pyramids/low profile sow, etc.
